Drug Uses
Nexіum reduces the amount of аcid produced in the stomach and reduces the symptoms caused by the backflow of stomach аcid into the esophagus. It also cures the damage caused by reflux disease.
Usage
Nexіum should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is recommended that you take it one hour prior to the meal. If you have trouble swallowing
Missed Dose
You should try and take your doses on time taking care not to miss any. But if you do miss a dose, then skip it and continue with your regular dose. But do not take a double dose.
Storage
Store it at room temperature.
Overdose
Confusion, drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, headache, nausea and sweating are some typical symptoms of a Nexіum overdose. Seek medical attention if you suspect an overdose.

The drug may cause light-headedness, dizziness, and faintness in some people. Do not consume alcohol along with the drug. Do not drive or handle heavy machinery until you know how to react to the drug.

Warnings/Precautions
Do not use Nexіum if:
you are allergic to any ingredient in Nexіum or to similar medicines (e.g., omeprаzole);
you are taking an HIV protease inhibitor (e.g., atazanavir).
Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.
Important :
Nexіum may cause drowsiness or dizziness. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Nexіum with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
Contact your doctor if you have any symptoms of a bleeding ulcer, such as black, tarry stools or vomit that looks like coffee grounds; or if you experience throat pain, chest pain, severe stomach pain, or trouble swallowing.
Nexіum may interfere with certain lab tests. Be sure your doctor and lab personnel know you are using Esomeprаzole.
Nexіum should be used with caution in Asian patients; the risk of side effects may be increased in these patients.
Nexіum should be used with extreme caution in children; safety and effectiveness in children have not been confirmed.
If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Nexіum while you are pregnant. It is not known if Nexіum is found in breast milk. Do not breast-feed while using Nexіum.
Do not use Nexіum if:
